FINAL

Project

This project was programmed for inspiration as a “intro” to my programming and production journey courtesy of blessed up productions LLC.,/Have A Real Dream Records. This project was built with synths and a original sample.

This project consists of an original 4/4 meter. I would describe the project as contemporary. There really is nothing phenomenal about the sound except maybe perhaps the lack of knowledge of Arkansas music among hip hops Southern sounds. The kick is programmed to beat (1, 3) of each measure with the snare on beat (2, 4). The harmony is what gives this project its substance. The harmony was programmed to give it a “southern” aesthetic.

The project was composed in the Key of A minor. The chord progression consists of chords Dm/C/Am/Em/Bm. This chord progression was programmed because it agreed with the creative process. The Key of A minor is a indicator that is descriptive to the region of the sound.

On track 4 which is the bass a Bus (10) was inserted with reverb (Silverb). The bass was EQ’d and Compressed in the channel strip also. Next, track 11 I inserted a boys background choir using the quick sampler plugin. Then a send was inserted to (Bus 10) for reverb. Slight EQ also.

EQ and Compression was inserted on track (10,4) EQ on track (11). These two dynamic effects are friends of mine. Time based effects were inserted via send to Bus (10, 20) for echo and reverb on tracks (10,11). These would be Aux (7, 8) according to the channel strip.
